North Island
The Tongariro National Park is New Zealand’s oldest National Park and a dual World Heritage area where snow-capped Mt Tongariro, Mt Ruapehu (an active volcano) and Mt Ngauruhoe, rise majestically from the central volcanic plateau. With two key ski areas - The Remarkables and Coronet Peak nearby, with the likes of Treble Cone, Cardrona, and Snowpark a short drive away nearer to Wanaka. Queenstown with its top notch ski fields is the perfect hub for your New Zealand ski or board vacation.
