Koru members enjoy a range of benefits* when travelling with Air New Zealand as well as on some flights with our alliance airline partners.

These include lounge and guest access privileges, additional baggage allowances and priority check-in and boarding, among other exclusive member benefits.

Koru membership types

Purchasing a Koru membership is simple to do online – it's the quickest and easiest way. You can log in to your Airpoints™ account and pay using a credit/debit card, or with your Airpoints Dollars™ (if you have enough to cover the full membership cost).

Koru membership fees 

There are several types of memberships available, depending on your eligibility. We offer one, two and five year memberships and the longer the membership period, the more you could save.

Joining fee

A joining fee applies to new memberships and members renewing their membership more than one month after expiry of an existing membership, we'll waive the joining fee if you renew your membership within one month of expiry.

Payment

Membership costs can be paid in full with Airpoints Dollars™ or credit/debit card or on your business' Air New Zealand Travelcard. Payment by direct credit and cheque is no longer accepted.

Koru membership costs are not refundable and cannot be put on hold. Should your Tier Status change to become an Airpoints™ Gold or Elite member, your Koru membership will run for its full term and is non-transferable.

Koru add-ons

Koru members also have the ability to purchase membership add-ons that enhance the existing benefits. These can be purchased online after logging in to your Airpoints account.

Koru replacement cards are no longer available to purchase. Your Koru digital card can now be accessed via the new Koru member dashboard, and the Koru digital card will soon be available in the Air NZ mobile app as well.
